I recently got a bunch of kit from my girlfriends grandfather, sporrans, a jacket, hand knit hose etc. One of the nicest things I was given yesterday is a dress sgian dubh. I've wanted a good one for some time as the stuff that is commercially available seem cheap and are mostly made from composite and are dull. Anyway I could not be happier with it as it was carved by her grandfather and is ebony wood with silver and a smoky quartz on top of all that it is a real knife. Here are a few photos.
