Hello to all my fellow kilt wearers.... A little about myself, I am a former Marine...so hello to all my brother's and sister's out there, plus a huge thank you to all the vet's serving or that have served from all over the world. I have been wearing a kilt for about 9 years now, and I love it!!! I must say, it did take a little while to get used to wearing the kilt, but now, I don't even blink when wearing it....it is quite the conversation starter. I have been playing the pipes with a pipe band here in Colorado for about 8 1/2 years now and totally enjoy it. I am also a huge DIY'er, I have made my own sporrans, kilt belt, sporran belt...etc.. Pretty much everything leather that I wear with my kilt I have made....why pay for it when you can make it for cheaper and a lot better quality. My avatar is actually the center from a much larger piece that I did for an old pipe case that I used to have and it is the Farquharson clan crest. I also enjoy doing artwork and woodcarving as well. I mainly do my art in pencil and I specialize in portraits and animals, and as far as the woodcarving goes, I am in the process of making myself a new cane. That's pretty much it for now....I look forward to hearing from everyone and being part of this wonderful site.
