    Piano Guys gig

For those not familiar with The Piano Guys, a music act, they're not, as you might expect, a couple of guys who play piano. Rather it's one guy who plays piano and another guy who plays cello. (I suspect "The Piano Guy and the Cello Guy" was rejected as being cumbersome.)

In any case, they've been on tour, the last night of their tour being at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

They do a medley of "Fight Song" and "Amazing Grace" and they have pipers come in when it goes into Amazing Grace. They arrange with local pipers so as not to have to bring pipers along on tour for a single piece.

Saturday night it was our band's turn.

As you can see, they're playing in time with a video of them playing at Eilean Donan Castle.

They rounded up a local pipe band for the video. They said that initially their idea was of "big burly guys with beards" but the local band was more youthful and this gave the finished video a different feel.

Here's the video. The local Scottish band you see isn't the band that recorded the soundtrack; that was Wasatch & District, in Utah.
