It has that wonderful authentic old-school look that 99.9% of modern sporrans don't have.
For perspective here's the Anderson 1936 catalogue. Look at all those lovely sporrans! How nice it would be to get one! Seems to me that's pretty much what you've done.

And their illustration of this sporran being worn. Note the traditional combination of brown sporran and black shoes.
