Nevada is one of the few States that celebrate Admission to the Union. Nevada was admitted to the union on October 31st 1864. For the Nevada Day parade in the State Capitol of Carson City Sierra Highlanders pipes and drums play the local S.A.M.S. provide color guard then the Nevada Society of Scottish clans organization and the Irish club, The Sons and Daughters of Erin march along with the Reno Celtic Celebration.

The parade route is two miles through the middle of Carson City, NV. Yesterday we were having heavy rains, today was beautiful with a high temp of 62f. More heavy rain predicted for tomorrow.
