Bushyhead and Scotchie
Does anyone here know of any sources for information on John Stuart of Inverness, or Alexander Cameron of Unknown, Scotland? Both were agents and liason between the Crown and Adgakala and Oconastota, Chiefs of the Cherokee Nation, and later with Adgakala's son, Tsiyugansini, leader of the Chichimaka faction of the Cherokee Nation during the Revolution. Adgakala adopted Stuart, who was named Bushyhead, and Scotchie Cameron was adopted by Adgakala's wife, Nanny Ollie of the Red Paint Clan (my many Greats Grandmother.)
