Yes white tie events are few and far between and AND, we need to remember many wearing the kilt will wear, quite properly a black tie with relevant accessories that can be correctly worn to a suitable(for the kilt) white tie event.I digress.
For the average black tie event where the PC is worn, plain hose, shiny oxfords and so on, then I have happily worn my black McRostie. Yes, if I could find a dress sporran that I thought suitable----not flash but a tad more than the McRostie------- and liked, then I would buy it and wear it in a flash, but in 30 something years I have not found one. Truth be told I don't really need one as my present sporran works perfectly well and without comment..
