The rule about it having to be a new pic is the deal-killer for me, because I just don't take pictures of myself all the time. I'm kilted on a regular basis doing piping gigs but for me to end up with a pic of myself is a very rare circumstance, say the family I'm playing for going out of their way to track down my email and send me a pic. It happens once every few years maybe.

Think about it: I'm playing at somebody's wedding or funeral, I suddenly stop playing and hand somebody my phone and say "hey can you take a picture of ME?" Ain't gonna happen.

Likewise I'm kilted at Highland Games all the time but I'm taking pictures of other people.

And the challenges like the one about shopping etc. For working pipers the kilt is kind of like the professional diver's wet suit: specific kit for doing a specific job. You ain't going shopping in mask and fins with a tank of air on your back, and I'm not going to put on a $700 kilt and $80 socks to do yard work or go to the shopping mall.

My challenges would be absurd, but they're the only recent photos I have.

Like "take a photo of yourself piping in front of an armoured vehicle"
