Hi, I had this subject in mind recently. Most of my time in the kilt is spent walking or standing but I saw the dangers of sitting in a car. I believe that I've mastered the knack now. Before getting in, the seat must go all the way back; then it's a case of kind of arching yourself away from the seat so that you are supporting the body weight on your feet and your upper back; That's when you sweep the kilt pleats forward, lower your --s to the front edge of the seat and then slide back into the seat. It's a minor hassle and would probably be impossible if I was less-slim. - Longforgan
