Waiting is the hardest part, but the reward is worth it!
I placed an order for a 5 yard traditional in Nithsdale tartan back in early February, and it just arrived over the weekend, and I have decided that waiting was well worth the outcome. The craftsmanship and appearance are more than I could have hoped for, and I was pleased to see on the care instructions that I can, in fact, machine wash this one in the machine, despite it being wool with leather straps (cold, gentle cycle, lay flat to dry)!
I got everything in the order minus the sporran, which is on back order, but that is fine... I'll get it when they do....lol
*** EDIT***
USA Kilts just called, I retract the machine wash comment on the wool kilt (I do have a PV Casual that is good to go though with the washing machine, so I was partly correct in a very round about way...) the wool ones are dry clean only unless you know what you're doing (as Rocky states below).
Either way, the wait is worth it and the customer service is beyond wonderful!

Never run or do jumping jacks while wearing a heavy sporran
