BBC list Order Of Play 2019 World Pipe Band Championships

    Here:

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/pro...-live-schedule

They only show Live Streaming for Saturday.

As many of you know, a few years ago they made the Grade One competition a two-day affair, due to the number of G1 bands becoming unmanageable on a single day.

But! Due to a number of factors

    1) the RSPBA demoting some G1 bands, and not promoting any bands to take their place

    2) some Grade One bands ceasing operations temporarily, some permanently

    3) the cost of travelling to the Worlds for bands from distant parts of the world becoming ever more expensive

    4) the Western Australia Police Pipe Band is prohibited from competing outwith Australia

there are only 15 Grade One bands said likely to compete at this year's Worlds.

Though 15 bands would be easy to accommodate using the old one-day format, the RSPBA decided to keep the two-day format, in spite of most G1 bands preferring a one-day event.

In any case I'll be up around 1am a week from tomorrow, café mocha in hand, to watch the Worlds Live Streaming.
