It Works!! No More Ironing!!
Turns out I couldn't afford the cost of a lot of tablecloth weights.
So juryrigged some.
Bought the WalMart plastic hanger clips they sell by the bag as replacements near their plastic hangers with clips.
Got some heavy cotton thread.
Got some 1/2 ounce lead weights in the fishing dept. The kind with a lead loop on the top.
Tied the lead weights to the hanger clips.
Made up 50 of them.
After washing my denim UK hung it on the shower rod from three hangers with three clips each. Then took the weighted clips and clipped them to the bottom of each outside and each inside sewn pleat.
The weight of the fishing weights gently pulled the wet fabric straight while it dried.
It worked, no need to iron the kilt when it was dry.
