brogue shoes
I have a question regarding Scottish brogue shoes [dress type]. While recently visiting one of my favorite websites "The Scottish Regimental Shop" in Edinburgh there was a pair of brogue shoes on sale https://scottishregimentalstore.co.u...oes-6906-p.asp which after shipping charges it came to about $135.00 U.S. dollars the price of a pair of decent dress shoes here in the U.S. before taxes added.
My question to the rabble especially to those who served in Her Majesty military is this. I noticed that each side of the tongue in the shoe is stitched to the shoe to coordinate with the foot [i.e.. left foot, left stitch]. Is this normal? Is it done so in the event of dressing in a hurried manner the shoe tongue will not fold over into the shoe or is this just some the shoe manufacturer Jamie Alexander does on his own.
