vintage thistle clan? badge
I just picked up this vintage thistle badge, in the form of a typical clan crest strap-and-buckle cap badge, on Ebay.
The sculpt on the thistle is wonderful, showing an artistry seldom seen nowadays.
But what clan is it, if indeed this is intended as a clan badge?
It's common, even now, for the firms that make clan badges to also make rampant lion badges, and thistle badges, either without wording or saying "Scotland". Is this badge of that sort?
