A tip for Some more options for Fancy Sporran Chains
After searching for a fancy sporran chain to go with my PC jacket, I was disappointed to find most modern ones rely on the same dozen or so patterns (and quite a few of those are rather ugly computer graphically designed ones).
I had no success with antiques either, so it popped into my head as I saw some historical portraits of monarchs (eg Napoleon III) their grand collars of orders of chivalry. I googled “livery chain” (whence the collars of orders of chivalry are derived (think Holbein’s portrait of Thomas Moore) and there are many affordable reproductions (if in a base metal) that can be easily converted from a necklace to a sporran chain.
Just fyi
Thanks
One example site (a replica of a tudor era chain of office):

There are even sites that take bespoke commissions if you are willing to provide a design; they regularly make mayoral collars for English towns.
There are also masonic collars used as part of regalia which do not necessarily have masonic symbols in them.
