Question for USA kilts casual kilt owners.

I’ve only ever worn a worsted wool kilt with a lining between the wool and your skin. I know the pv casual kilt from USA Kilts has no lining. Assuming your are being ‘traditional’ with what you are wearing under the kilt, is the lack of lining a problem? Is the pv material itchy at all? Would it be worth it , or possible, to have a cloth lining sewn in?
