A kilted Saturday adventure at the symphony. last night I attended a concert by the Memphis Symphony Orchestra of a little known and obscure work called Beethoven's 9th. I wore a blue french cuff shirt, a vest/waistcoat with a pocket watch. I was in my Holyrood USAK casual with a Norse day sporran also from USAK. I had on grey hose, although they look green in the picture, and blue flashes. The boots are from Thursday Boot Company. The kilt pin is a replica Anglo-Saxon broach I bought from an Etsy seller. I'm a little worried that my hose were too high, but otherwise, I'm enjoying this being killed more than for special occasions thing.

I think the hose are fine, and the level of flash exposure is good - just enough. 2-3 fingers below the kneecap seems to be the general rule of thumb. Some of my hose sit higher than others, and also if I pull too hard they stretch a bit more, and the hose sit higher. I usually just roll them a bit more then, but that can look off if you have a particularly ornate cuff.
