New to the board, but not wee drafts
Good day everyone. Recently joined the board, but not new to wee drafts. Been in kilts on/off for about 33 yrs. I am a former member of a Canadian Army Highland regiment, so kilts were my dress uniform. My father was a member of the same regiment back in his youth, fitting for a Scottish immigrant. I was married 27 yrs ago in a kilt and occasionally used my kilt for formal wear or worn to highland games. I was recent given a new kilt by one of my children as I no longer am as skinny as I once was. My plan is to make more use of my kilt than I did in the past. The one thing about getting older... I really care less what people think of how I dress. My kilt will be used for everything from semi casual nights out with the wife to more formal events (just need new jacket, again not as skinny as I was lol). Last time I fit in my old kilt...or the last time I had tried successfully was in 2014, and I am looking forward to wearing my new kilt. I stumbled on the forum when looking for casual kilt wearing idea.
