What I wear...
On the legs, usually long socks. Unless it's REALLY hot out.
If I'm going casual, it's either running shoes or Doc Martens. Running shoes, usually with lighter colored kilt hose. To me, off-white hose and black shoes just doesn't look right. So, I tend to wear the off-white with white or gray running shoes. Sometimes, I'll wear black hose with the Docs, or with my black leather Teva sandals. All depends on my mood and what's not shtinky. When I wear my Khaki UK, I'll usually do a matching shirt, oatmeal kilt hose, and the running shoes. Seems to look best that way.
If I need to dress up a little, then, I don't wear the running shoes and instead wear either the Docs, or a pair of Timberland dark brown lace-up shoes. Usually darker hose, and, in the case of the MacKenzie kilt, tartan flashes.
Don't really have anything formal, but, have found that even when I'm dressed casually, people think I'm dressed up... :-\ Oh well.
