Greetings to all and sundry
Hello all.
My name is William from central Texas and happy to be here! I’m a latecomer to kilt wearing but am trying to be as informed as I can while I get used to the ins and outs of kilts and accessories. Bear with me if I ask silly questions, but I will scan the FAQs to see if answers already exist.
I’ve got one question that I haven’t found an answer for as of yet so rather than create a separate post for it, I’ll drop it here.
I’ve gotten my first traditional kilt and the finisher is a bit of a mystery to me. It’s an 8-yard kilt but the only label I can see says “Hand Finished in Motherwell”. The tartan is a privately held registered tartan and I don’t know who was used for any of the manufacture. It’s not a really big deal as it is a beautiful kilt, but I’m a bit curious if there’s anything to be learned by the lone label.
Thanks!
