well, today i school-christened my lovely new darling, a gordon modern semi-formal from macleod's scottish shop in stratford, ontario. had a nice run, got some positive comments (along with plenty of "why dat dude wearin' a skirt? you'd think people would have learned by now...oh well). an interesting thought i just came up with today - i realized that the only time people make negative comments are when theyre with at least one other friend, and it usually takes more than that. almost never have i gotten one lone guy talking sh*t. and i found that interesting. i mean, it's always the guys who wear their pants around their ankles, etc (except the ones at my school may *actually* shoot you as opposed to just saying it ), but it's always groups of them. they're such MINDLESS CONFORMISTS that they need that extra support from their mates. i mean, i'm not a big guy, but i guess the kilt is just so manfully intimidating that these guys feel the need to have backup! haha.

but the real story came at the end of the day, and it MADE MY YEAR. i mean, this is what kilted guys live for; it was brilliant. so i was at my locker, sort of bending over to get books from my locker, and this girl i know comes up, makes some comment that i didnt hear, and proceeds to LIFT UP THE BACK OF MY KILT. suffice to say, lads, i wouldnt disappoint the marines with my sense of decorum. so she cried, terribly flustered and red in the face, "why arent you wearing anything under there??" and i said, calmly, "the real question is, why are you lifting up my kilt? you should know better."
