I just thought I'd make a short list of some days of Celtic importance for those people who still need an excuse to wear a kilt.

March 1 Saint David's Day (patron saint of Wales) – A day to celebrate the Welsh, especially if you have any Welsh ancestry, or happen to have a Welsh tartan cilt in your closet.

March 17 Saint Patrick's Day (patron Saint of Ireland) – More than just a day to drink Guiness, strap on an Irish tartan kilt.

April 6 National Tartan Day, Anniversary of The Declaration of Arbroath (1320) – A day to recognize the Scottish contribution to the United States and Canada.

July 1 Anniversary of the Repeal of the Act of Proscription (1782), Anniversary of the Restoration of the Scottish Parliament (1999), Tartan Day in some countries – Celebrate your freedom to wear your highland attire.

August 1 Anniversary of The Act of Proscription (1746) – Put on your highland attire today as an act of good-natured defiance.

November 30 Saint Andrew's Day (patron saint of Scotland) – Another great day to celebrate your Scottish heritage.

Not only are these days an excuse to wear the kilt (not that many members of this board need one), but by acknowledging these days you can learn a little more about your history and heritage. If anyone knows of any other dates of celtic importance, please add them to this list.
