Sewing Pleats into an old SportKilt
Finally got on with it. Since SportKilt is doing it now, but won't retro sew previous purchases, decided to take a risk.
Went down to WalMarche and bought some matching thread, some pins, and a bunch of needles.
Took an old Scot Skye pattern SportKilt and pinned in the pleats down about 8 inches. They're right...no way to match anything...just did the best I could.
Have all but four pleats sewn in with my crude guy hand...fortunately its dark enough it just looks like I've slept in the kilt and its rumpled....not completely out of whack...
Wound up with 15 pleats.
Now...looking at the hem to see if I wanna risk that....
Don't know who's dumber...SportKilt for marketing one size fits all kilt lengths or me for paying for one....
