MotoGP in my tan UK
I attended the MotoGP at Laguna Seca this past weekend. Great event. I wore my tan UK on Saturday night down on Cannery Row. It was really packed. I had my g/f with me who is still somewhat indifferent to my kilt wearing. I was hoping for some positive feedback to help get her more into it. I had 3 people ask me "Is that a kilt?" And, I had one really hot woman come up and say, "That's a really nice skirt." I replied, "It's a kilt." She responded, "Well, I like it." Then I ran into a woman that said she had seen me in the kilt at the races earlier in the day. I told her it wasn't me and she said she was sure it was. I hadn't been at the races earlier in the day, but she was convinced she had seen me there.. tan UK and blue Hawaiian shirt, just like I was wearing. I guess my evil twin wore his kilt to the races on Saturday!
I found this cool hosery shop on Cannery Row (next to the chocolate shop) and I bought 4 pair of really nice over-the-calf socks (Goldtoe).
I wore the tan UK again at the races the next day. No comments. Nothing. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It was pretty hot and I was pretty surprised that I did not see anyone else in a kilt there.. but, it was a big crowd; over 67k on Sunday. I was glad to see Nicky Haden save his job with Repsol by winning the big GP race! He was never even challenged and lead the race wire to wire, all 32 laps. He finished with a 2+ second lead.
Anyhow, just reporting in from the left-coast.
