I'm not the only one!
Last weekend I attended a long-distance hiker gathering, to see old friends and learn about my upcoming Pacific Crest Trail hike from those who have already completed it.
Now, I know I'm not the first to have thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in a kilt, but I know I wore the first Bear Kilt. I met someone who just completed the Trail this year wearing a Bear Kilt as well. I actually had met him last fall, and introduced him to Bear Kilts, and he purchased one for his own thru-hike this year. So now I don't own the only 2,000 mile Bear Kilt.
However, I'll be the first to hike the PCT this coming spring. I haven't heard of anyone hiking the PCT in a kilt, so I may be the first altogether. And when I complete the Continental Divide Trail I know I'll be the first to have hiked the CDT in a kilt, and then I'll have an 8,000 mile Bear Kilt....
Andrew.
