I have been hunting while kilted this year,archery mostly. we woke up one morning to 18*,my buddy offered to lend me some wool pants, i told i would just put on my warm socks {smartwool wetland} and my gaiters. he laughed and said i was crazy. i was expecting it to be rough ,but i was very warm . i wore a hat {of course} wool sweater ,oil skin coat,a brn workmans UK,socks,gaiters,boots. the only time i felt a draft was when i had to step over logs. late archery opens the 9th and we just got 12" of snow were i hunt ,yaaa . now i will test my kilts in the wet cold . i will post picts.
