Im active on a large number of discussion boards. This site is quite different than many in the fact that Avatars are so small, and the PM box can hold up to 1000 messages. Most boards Im on have a PM box of only 100 messages.

My suggestion is to half the PM box to 500 or even to 100 and upsize the avatars to 200X200
