After reading a short version of the Nathan Warmack story in the Calgary Sun newspaper on Dec 23rd, I decided to write a letter to the editor for the first time in my life. They printed it in today's edition, pretty much word for word. It will be interesting to see if they get any feedback on it.
This is what I wrote:

"I was quite pleased to see this article that ran in your Dec 23rd edition. Unfortunately it did not tell the whole story. As someone who wears a kilt almost daily I’ve been following the situation since it was first brought up. The power of the internet is amazing. Due to the publicity the story has received both online and in print the petition has, as of this morning, gathered more than 10,000 signatures. If interested, you can read more about it at the thread here... http://www.xmarksthescot.com Kilts are garments, not costumes. Alan Gingles"
