Saw another kilt in the grocery store
It was a really interesting event today. I ran into another guy in a kilt at the grocery store. He apparently lives not too far from where I live. I was in a traditional kilt and he was in a Utilikilt, but it was still neat to see someone else in a kilt.
Even though online it seems like there are lots of other kilt wearers near me, this is the first time I've seen someone else out in a kilt.
I found it interesting that he said that he often gets odd looks or negative remarks when he's out in his UK, but my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Either I get compliments from people on my kilts or they just take it entirely in stride. I can't help but wonder if the difference is that I wear mine in a completely traditional fashion.
