I was at the Kilt Night at the Devil's Canyon Brewery last night. They are amping up their beer production and have larger vats. They still have the smaller keg-sized kettles and they will apparently "rent" them out for $150.00 each for anyone who want to make their own beer.

They do this about one or twice a month in their Brew On Premises program.

Let me put it this way, one vat will produce 5.5 cases of bottled beer at about $10.00 per case. I think I counted 7 vats. The brewery can help us with bottling and labelling.

There's probably some laws against selling beer without some kind of license, but I think it can be given away to friends and family, or sold as a fund-raiser for a registered non-profit organization.

We could also just have a local beer bash (with a freshly-brewed keg), charge a fee for entry and donate the money to a non-profit. The brewery had done just such an event recently.

I'd like to hear some conversation about this, then I'll nail down the specifics with the brewery.
