question about measuring
I have just ordered my 3rd kilt, a Black Isle 5 yard from the Kilt store. But I am a bit worried about if I measured properly for the seat. Since I have a little bit of a gut, if I measure only where it shows it brings the kilt in to my body instead of dropping straight from the waist. So I left it (quite) a bit loose. Should I have? With my second kilt, which was made to order by a friend of my mothers who sews a lot of dancers kilts, I find my sporran tends to pull my kilt inwards right under my belly, which accentuates the belly, which I dont like. Or is difference between the seat and the waist taken into account and I should measure the seat more snuggly?
I hope this makes sense and that you all may be able to clear this up for me.
