Hmmmm . . . kilt / sporran would have been handy several years ago when mine were small . . . they had a habit of launching themselves at me when I arrived home from work . . . on several occasions, almost tackling me as they ran and wrapped their arms around my thighs . . . almost inflicting injury 
This post took a different direction than I originally thought from its title. One of the security advantages I see about wearing a kilt and sporran is that when I'm in a dense crowd, I don't worry about pickpockets!!!
