Kilted at a benefit?
I just got emailed to work at Katie Couric's annual colon cancer reseach benefit on March 15. My first response was -- "Can I wear one of my kilts?" Since some of the events I get called to work on can be a little black tie and stuffy and strict on the dress code for us production staffers (especially the volunteer staffers like me).
I haven't heard back yet but keeping my fingers crossed. Last year he wouldn't let me wear it to work the Tonys but for this he might relent. On the plus side, I ran into his assistant over the weekend while wearing my Royal Stewart Mercy Kilt and sporran and she was loving the look so she's going to go to bat for me.
The only decision I'll have is which one do I wear...the Heritage of Scotland...the MacDonald...the MacKenzie...the Blackwatch...the Gordon...so many decisions....
