Highschoolers at college
I work at the college bookstore, which is located in the University Center. The UC also has the campus diner. When highschool groups come to NMU, they often stop at the Den, and afterward come to the Bookstore to kill time (we also have large clothing, gifts, and office supplies departments).
When we get these sudden influxes, several employees walk the floor. There's usually a couple on the floor anyway, but a few more go out to not only help with customer service, but also make sure no one's shoplifting.
This happened today and last week, both times I was kilted. The first time, when I went out on the floor (I work in the back), a kid said "Dude, I love your kilt!", and I then saw him shortly after telling his fellow students that there was "a guy in a kilt."
Today, no direct comments, though I did see some boys pointing and sniggering, and some looks from others. I would have asked the boys if I could help them find anything, but they stayed mostly in the front half, and I was watching the rear half.
