We in fact use a Machine to stich the sporrans together. Although you can buy a marker wheel which helps with spacing. Thread tension is also critical when hand sewing .
Yours by looking at the pictures is just fine.
As regards the money aspect ...Most sporrans are produced in low cost lands..Thats how they do it. We produce only a limited number of Sporrans in a year .That doesn't give us access to huge discounts at the leather suppilers.
Sten Rune and I love making sporrans and decided not to have a huge mark up but rather use what little we make to buy kilt stuff and have an occasional whisky.....Works fine for us
