It's True what they say about Coldwater Creek
I went over to the local Coldwater Creek outlet at lunch today...I was actually going somewhere else, but after all the talk and laughter I thought I'd go in.
I've never had so much female attention in one place in my life! I must have had a dozen questions about the kilt, and subtle flirtation, as well. Women do NOT make eyes at me, it simply does NOT happen. But it did, two hours ago. Crikey. It was fun...cheered me right up, got lme laughing hard and now I'm back to work.
A few weekends ago I dropped Mrs. Alan H off at the supermarket and hit the hardware store. She said that after she finished in the super-mercado, she was going to drop the groceries off in the car and then go to this little custom boutique that was in the next block over. I says, "OK, I'll come find you". Well there were two little custom boutiques, and the one she was aiming for was closed...but I didn't know that, of course. So I went into the other one.
Now, this place is seriously interesting, though of course it's a womens clothing store. They had more gew-gaws and fabrics and crinkled this and vintage-fabric that, cockades for hats and boxes of buttons and on and ON. I got to talking to the ladies in the place while I waited for my spouse to show up and we got onto the subject of kilts. They were all agog that I had made my own and practically demanded that I wear it to the store the second it was done. So Friday night, I think on the way to Beer Night, I'm gonna stop off and let the girls give it the once-over.
Should be fun, I'll give you all a report.
