As some of you know, I made the decision to start wearing a kilt just after Christmas and have been mostly kilted in the classroom since then at the community college where I teach. Recently, I was asked to be part of a search committee for a top level administration position here on campus. I have been attending all meetings kilted - and today we began the candidate interview process - so I dressed just a bit more "kilted" formal. Oh yeah, the person we hire will be my bosses boss - so I guess that makes that person my "big" boss... so I thought "what the heck - they might as well get used to seeing me in a kilt... lets just see what happens."

At no time during this process has any of 14 committee members suggested I change my attire for the interview process and several have been very supportive - one colleague even said "you were born to wear a kilt." I feel very lucky to work in such a forward thinking place. Its true... I love my job!
