Got my book
After Barb sending me an e-mail on Monday saying she had missed my order and would send out my book on Tuesday, I expected to have another week long wait for the book. I do live in Hawaii, where the slow boat stops when it has left China.
Anyway, the wife went out to the mail box this morning and we had but one thing. My book. I was so happy! I've started reading it, and so far I have learned that I pretty much suck at kilt making. That has definately got to change if I have any hope at all of selling kilts!

A funny little story
I went to a neighbor's house to purchase some goodies from a neighbor lady who hosted one of those home peddling parties (ummm... lie women have for Tupperware or Pampered Chef, etc). This particular party was a ladies only event which my wife was supposed to attend. I had completely forgotten this fact and kept my wife out until well after the party started. As my "punishment," the wife had me go to the hostess and ask for a catalog, apologize, and I had to be the one to place the order.
Well... I was sadly clad in shorts for the day. As I step up to a gaggle of women and ask how to place my order, one of the ladies recognizes me as the neighborhood kiltie. "Where's your kilt?" "I decided not to wear it today."
The conversation resulted in all eyes (probably 10 or 11 pairs of them) on me. I was asked if it was true that I wore kilts. "Yes, quite reguarly." They all liked that fact and a couple of the ladies asked if I could show one off. I had to decline.
I thought it was a nice thing to have happen, and it was somewhat unexpected.
