I finally got my first kilt today. I put it on and headed out the door. First stop was my parent's house where I was expecting to hear "WHAT are you wearing?" and some good-natured ribbing from my mom. Mom wasn't home, Dad was. He tends to be more relaxed about stuff. He seemed to like it, but i don't think I can get him into one anytime soon. Had my camera so I could get a picture:

Next was the local video store, and it was a non-event. Then off to one of the local big-box retailers. Got a couple of stares (that was fun! Watching people try to wrap their heads around a guy in a kilt.) and a couple of "Nice Kilt" comments.
All in all a good day.

On another note, today was the 2nd anniversary of the death of my second ex-wife's father. He was loveable old grouch and even after the divorce, I still thought of him as family. It is kind of fitting that I receive a garment that helps to honor family connections arrived today.
