Old Marines Never Die...They Just Kilt Up

Another X Marks rendezvous.
Steve Ashton, owner of Freedom Kilts was in Arizona with his wife for her mother's funeral. They took a side trip up to Flagstaff to spend some time with this old canyon rat and my lady who came in from Page and Hopi respectively. We all took in the Pride in the Pines.
That's my new Fraser Casual from Rocky - my hot weather kilt...it was well into the 90s. Steve was in his desert camo with his new kilt hose from the kilt hose making rig he has now.
Think there were only two other kilts at the Pride festival - a leather bear in a black UK original and a supervisor at the beer tent in a UK tan original.
Surprising for Flagstaff, where contemporary kilts and traditional tartans are not uncommon at all
My tank top reads, "Canada looks better every day." thought that would be a fitting welcome for Steve.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
