Uplake to Rainbow Bridge National Monument: KILTED
It was a clear but HOT day today (106 degrees F). My lady and I took the tour boat 2 1/2 hours uplake to Rainbow Bridge National Monument, Utah.
From the dock, its a mile and a half uphill hike through Forbidden Canyon to Rainbow Bridge. Little shade.
Wore my "gang colors." My new Macdonald tartan USA Kilts Semi-Traditional sewn up by Kelly.
As you might expect I was the only person aboard kilted. Probably the only person on the lake kilted. Certainly the only person on the trail kilted.
Didn't go regimental (tartan boxers of course) because of having to climb boat ladders to the to deck and because of the wind on the lake. A couple swirls caught the kilt just a bit on the upper deck, enough for a lady passenger to remark, "Now I know."
Other than the heat an the looooong ride uplake, a great day.
