So I haven't posted in quite a while- been busy.

A very few of you may remember that I had an opportunity to spend some time in England for work. We'll I'm still in England and I'm staying- I got an offer for a permanent position so we're moving over.

In any case, here a few shots that were taken during our wonderings.

This was taken on an amazing hilltop near Caerphilly in Southern Wales. Wales is simply amazing.

Same hilltop, but a bit less artsy and you can actually see the kilt.

This was taken this last weekend in Trafalger Square in London. That's my son getting mauled by pigeons.

My son in his brand new black watch kilt! His first and he's darn pleased with it. The punks charged us 2 pounds for the shot, but it was worth it.

OK, not actually kilted here, it's just me doing my best impersonation of a football hooligan. I thought it was kind of funny.

So I have learned some things since being here. First is, in general, the public is no where near of accepting of a guy in a kilt as people have been in the US- at least near me. Negative comments have FAR outweighed positive ones- where in the US I have not gotten a negative comment in years. Second- I have learned that "Jock" is a derogatory term for a Scot, and if you happen to wander into a pub mere moments after England is eliminated from the World Cup in a kilt, you can expect to hear the term and risk a beating. Apparently there is not a lot of love between the Scots and the English when it comes to football, and just after a defeat it not a good time to walk into a room full of drunken fans in a kilt. I am firmly convinced had my wife and kids not been with me I would have been in trouble.

All for now, more to follow.
