Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots
The Saltire flying proudly over the Palace
This fountain was simply incredible. The details in it were stunning.
A view of the loch, from the Old Entry
A view of St. Michael's Parish Church
The Crown of Thorns atop the steeple of the church
The Palace and Church were both incredible and another sight I strongly recommend to all.
When we left the Palace, we went back to the town center and found a restaurant called The Four Marys, after the four handmaidens that attended to mary Queen of Scots. The building that housed the restaurant was a house that had been built in 1500!
It really makes me wonder why we busy ourselves so, tearing older buildings down. We're never going to develop the kind of history that Scotland has, at this rate.
