I put together a couple of sporrans and belts. I suffered from the same malady that one other fellow had--where to find the right hardware, so I bent up the old favorite, a heavy duty coat hanger. Instead of a small buckle in the center, I used a sam brown stud. I figured it would create a smaller lump.

I found a sporran advertised on one site with a nice celtic knot pattern on the flap. I carved two and then dyed one brown and one black. I still need to put the tassels on the black one. Used pigskin for the gusset and 9/10 oz tooling cowhide for the front and back, which seemed to be a good combination for stiffness and flexibility, and kangaroo for the tassels. Plain 1/2 in belt to hold it on (based on advice learned here).

The pictures aren't that great, but I'll try to get better ones when I debut them at the Pacific NW Games tomorrow.
