Why is it a good weekend? Well, for one thing I am four kilts richer.

I now guage my success in life not by the size of my house, the size of my bank account, or how fancy my car is. In my mind, the one who dies with the most kilts wins. I think this means that Hamish is the ultimate success story.

Anyway, between yesterday and today this is what has arrived:

I Union Kilts Blue Denim
1 UK Original (black)
2 UK Mockers (black and tan)

I am not going to go out for my weekend mall walk because last night I went out for a monster two hour walk and killed my feet. Oh...and I broke a bunch of rules for my walk. I was told to only wear a Mocker for special occassions and then wear it with a sporran so everyone knows it is a kilt. Well, I went for my two hour walk with my Heather Gray Mocker with no sporran just because I think it's so comfortable and I thought it would be fun.

However, this morning I did several errands:

1. Got the car serviced, walked all over the dealership while I was waiting. I never would have noticed had I not been wearing a kilt, but they had a perfectly mirror finish floor in that place - very light tile but still......
2. Went to the post office to pick up my new denim kilt. The Asian woman waiting on me brought the package from the back and said,
"This is really heavy but soft....like maybe a coat or jacket."
"Actually, it's a new denim kilt"
"Oh....how cool is that!" "But..... (looks confused) ....it wouldn't have any tartan?"
"No....well, I'm wearing a black kilt now"
"OH! I didn't even notice!" (I step away from the counter so she can see)
"This one is made in Seattle but the one you have there is made in England"
3. Went to the store to get more laundry detergent so I can wash all these kilts. I'm at the checkout and the guy at the register points to my kilt
"So....what is the special occassion....or is this what you always wear?"
(I give him a big smile) "This is what I always wear on the weekend because it's so comfortable"

So now I'm going to stay in, wash my new kilts, clean the apartment a little, and maybe take a recliner nap in one of my new kilts. It's a good weekend....
