Kiltie tattoo advice

ok, so I've decided that I want the tattoo shown in the link above, but I need another bit of advice. I want to make it more my own, so I am tossing aroung the idea of making the inset color red instead of greenish blue.

any thoughts?

Simple don't just ask us. Instead take it to the person that will do the work and see how they would make it unique.

Good choice. I am adding the father knot to the tattoo on my back in the very near future. Still finishing the design though. Each arm is dedicated to one of the kids, and I will add a knot for each on my back which already has the luckenbooth for my wife and I.

Good idea about the other calf for the next kid. Are you going to add your son's name?
