Too me, that is the one downside of the L&M sporrans and all the websites and vendors that list them... The photos are all stock, and do not reflect what your sporran will actually look like, especially if you are buying real fur... The photos are representative, but there are bound to be natural differences....
The aformentioned is not the fault of the vendors, but just the nature of the custom-made sporran business.... L&M can't give photos of the actual items, because they don't exist until after they are ordered....
The prices aren't bad at all though.... not bad at all..... extrememly competitive with even the larger L&M dealers like Kilt and Thistle and Scottish Lion....
I have seen first-hand that finished L&M fur sporrans, especially the mask ones, will not look exactly like the stock photo. There are ALWAYS variations when it comes to animal products. That is part of the deal, I guess, unless you are working with cloned animals! Always good quality from L&M.
Hank, I must disagree with your position that there is no real need to advertise the prestigious L&M brand, it gives instant credibility and assurance of quality, which goes a long way to help someone justify the purchase of a big-ticket accessory.
