I've worn kilts exclusively for the past three years. I wore trousers one Hallowe'en as my "costume."

Today, for some reason, I felt like exercising my right to choose what to wear by wearing trousers to work. None of my co-workers have ever seen me wear anything but kilts, so all night, they kept asking me why I was wearing trousers. It seemed ironic, since I spend the rest of my life explaining why I'm wearing the kilt.

One thing my little foray into trouserdom taught me is how uncomfortable the darned things are. Tomorrow it's back to kilts.
