New Alabama Tartan
Just reading in the STA newsletter that the new Alabama tartan was approved. Apparently the state's first official Tartan Day celebration will be next April.
Looked the tartan up (#6980 on the STA website) and its not all crimson and white as I'd expected. Lots of blue and gray in with a little crimson and white. A very distinguished looking tartan.
While I was born in Alabama (Craig Army Air Corps Base) on the shores of the Alabama River, I'm not sure whether to put this tartan on my wish list or not yet.
Guessing Alabama folks on this board may have more info on who is controling the cloth and how to obtain some should I decide to honor my native born state.
