KC, congratulations on stepping up to what might be called a "big whisky". The 3D is one of a number of special release whiskies from Bruichladdich. If you can manage it, try some of the other Islay whiskies as well. In addition to the two mentioned above, I am very partial to Lagavulin. To aid in your education, pick up Michael Jackson's Guide to Sigle Malts. (NO!! Not that Michael Jackson. This would be the plump, bearded Englishman!) Most of all, enjoy your journey of discovery.
